Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the Fernhill Community platform, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You must be a current or prospective member of the Fernhill Ecstatic Dance community.
• Membership is at our discretion and may be revoked for any reason consistent with these terms.

3. Community guidelines

Fernhill is a curated, consent-based community. You agree to:

• Treat all members with respect, care, and honesty.
• Obtain explicit consent before sharing photos or recordings of other members.
• Keep personal disclosures made within the community confidential.
• Not harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against any member.
• Not impersonate another member, facilitator, or Fernhill staff.
• Not post spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or harmful links.
• Not attempt to circumvent security controls, access others' accounts, or exploit the platform.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant Fernhill a non-exclusive license to display your content within the platform to other members. We do not sell or license your content to third parties. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe third-party rights or violate these terms.

5. Payments

Fernhill Community has no paid membership tier. Voluntary financial support can be sent to the official Fernhill Venmo account @fernhill only. Fernhill will never ask you to send money to a personal account or any Venmo handle other than @fernhill. Any request to do so is a scam — report it to us immediately.

6. Account termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in harmful behavior, or for any reason at our discretion with reasonable notice where practicable. You may delete your account at any time by emailing hello@fernhilldance.com.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The platform is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. Fernhill is not liable for content posted by members. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to $100 USD.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, then binding arbitration in Portland, Oregon.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced inside the community with at least 14 days notice before taking effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
